laser hair removal in islamabad - Hair reduction laser

Does Laser Hair Removal Work? Yes. Laser hair removal reduces hair growth in the treated area for a long time, and the hair that comes back is usually thinner and lighter. It works best on dark, thick hair. It does not remove hair for life.

At Royal Cosmetic Surgery in F-7, Islamabad, laser hair removal starts from PKR 3,499 per session. Most people need 6 to 8 sessions, spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart, and each session takes about 15 to 16 minutes to treat the face, underarms, arms, legs, bikini area, back, and chest.

Laser Hair Removal Cost in Islamabad

The laser hair removal price in Pakistan starts at PKR 3,499 per session. Four things decide your price: the size of the area, how thick your hair is, how many sessions you need, and which laser your doctor picks. An upper lip takes only a few minutes, so it costs less. Legs, back, and the full body need more laser time, so they cost more.

Upper Lip PKR 3,000  6 to 8
Chin PKR 5,000  6 to 8
Full Face PKR 10,000  6 to 7
Underarms PKR 5,000 to 8,000 6 to 8

Full Legs PKR 20,000 to 25,000 6 to 8

How Laser Hair Removal Works

how laser hair removal works

Think of a black T-shirt in the sun. Dark things soak up light and get hot. Your hair has a dark color called melanin, so it soaks up the laser light the same way. The light turns into heat, and the heat damages the hair follicle, the tiny pocket in your skin where hair grows.

A damaged follicle grows less hair, and the hair that does come back is finer. This is why doctors call it hair reduction

There is one catch. The laser only works on hairs that are in their growth stage. At any moment, only some of your hairs are in that stage. So one session can never catch them all. That is why you need several sessions, spaced a few weeks apart, but hair can return over time.

Which Advanced Laser Do We Use?

Everyone is not going to be able to use the same laser. There are a few different types, and we match one to your skin and hair.

German diode laser | Cost: PKR 3,000PKR  to PKR 45,000

Diode laser hair removal is one of the most widely used methods. It works well on dark, thick hair. With the right settings and built-in skin cooling, it can also be used on brown skin.

Alexandrite laser | Cost: PKR 40,000 to PKR 45,000

Often used on lighter skin and finer hair.

Nd: YAG laser | Cost: PKR 15,000 to PKR 50,000

It has a longer wavelength, so it is less drawn to skin color. This makes it a gentler choice for darker skin tones.

Multi-wavelength systems| Cost: PKR 15,000 to PKR 50,000

These combine more than one wavelength, so the doctor can adjust during treatment.

Your skin tone, hair color, and hair thickness decide the laser and the settings. That is why every plan starts with a doctor, not a machine.

Your Laser Hair Removal Timeline Month By Month

  • 4 Weeks Before: Stop waxing, plucking, and threading. The laser needs the hair root in place. Your doctor may ask for 6 weeks.
  • 1 Day Before: Shave the area. Avoid applying lotion, deodorant, or makeup to it.
  • Session Day: Most areas usually require about 15 to 16 minutes of treatment. Wearing eyeglasses. It cools the tip of the laser and helps to protect your skin.
  • Day 0 to 2: Redness, warmth, or mild swelling. A cold pack helps. Most people go back to normal activity right away.
  • Day 3 to Week 4: Hair grown is pulled out. This appears to be new growth, but it is, in fact, pushed-out hair.
  • Week 4 to Week 8: Your next session. Our doctor will consider the spacing.
  • After 3 to 4 Sessions: Thinner, slower hair growth is observed in most individuals.
  • Month 5 to Month 13: The course itself is completed after 6-8 sessions. The hair on the treated area is much diminished.
  • Once or Twice a Year: Optional touch-up sessions if some hair returns.

How is the 5 to 13 months worked out? If you come every 4 weeks, 6 to 8 sessions take about 5 to 7 months. If you come every 8 weeks, they take about 9 to 13 months.

For the first 6 weeks after a session, stay out of strong sun and wear SPF 30 or higher every day. Tanned skin raises the risk of dark or light patches.

Areas We Treat

Laser Hair Removal for Face | PKR 8,000 to 10,000/ Session

Upper lip, chin, cheeks, jawline, and sideburn treatments. The skin of the face is sensitive, and your doctor has to set the laser with extra care. Males can treat the hairline on the crown.

Laser Hair Removal for Underarms | Cost: PKR 3,000 to 8,000/ Session

Laser underarm hair removal is fast and favored. The hair will typically be dark and thick underarm hair and will often respond very well. There may also be fewer razor bumps.

Laser Hair Removal for Arms| Cost: PKR 8,000 to15,000/ Session

Select full and half arms.

Laser Hair Removal for Legs | Cost: PKR 12000/ Session.

We offer hair removal on the legs using laser, either full legs or half legs. It is a large area, and the average session is 15 to 16 minutes.

Laser Hair Removal for Bikini Area | 15,000 PKR to 20,000/ Session

Bikini laser hair removal is a hair removal treatment for the bikini and wider bikini lines. This area of skin is sensitive. If you wish to have a numbing cream, you should ask your doctor about it.

Laser Hair Removal for Back & Chest | Cost: PKR 8,000 to 15,000/ Session

Chest hair removal and back hair removal are both popular laser hair removal procedures for men. These are large areas, so a session can be close to an hour long.

Laser Hair Removal for Women, Men & Different Skin Tones

Laser hair removal for women is most often done on the face, underarms, arms, legs, and bikini area. Laser hair removal for men is most often done on the back, chest, shoulders, and beard line. Both can book full-body laser hair removal as one plan.

  • Hair color matters. Black and brown hair respond best. Blonde, white, gray, and red hair have less color, so the laser has less to grab onto, and results are weaker.
  • Skin tone matters. Laser hair removal for dark skin is safe when an experienced doctor picks the right laser and settings. Dark skin has more melanin, so a wrong setting can cause burns or patches.

Tell Dr Maryam first if you are pregnant, get cold sores, have keloid scars, have had skin cancer, or take regular medicines. You may need to wait or choose another option.

Sudden or heavy hair growth? Hormones can cause it. Laser reduces the hair, but it does not treat the cause, so ask your doctor to check.

Is Laser Hair Removal Painful? Side Effects & Safety

Most people feel a quick snap, like a rubber band on the skin. A cooling tip and a numbing cream can make it easier.

Laser Hair Removal Side Effects:

  • Redness and mild skin irritation
  • Swelling, which usually subsides within a few hours to days
  • Temporary dark or light patches on the skin
  • Blisters (less common)
  • Scarring (rare)
  • Skin discoloration, especially if the wrong type of laser is used

Laser Vs Waxing Vs Shaving Vs IPL

Results Long-term reduction Temporary Temporary
Regrowth Gradually reduced Returns Returns quickly
Ingrown hairs May reduce Can occur Can occur
Sessions Multiple Repeated Frequent
Long-term maintenance Occasional Regular Frequent

IPL machines use broad light, not a focused laser beam.  They can also shave the hair, but a laser allows the doctor to focus on the hair. If you want to know the complete difference, please read about “Is Laser Hair Removal Better Than Waxing?”

Laser Hair Removal FAQs

The cost of permanent laser hair removal in Islamabad falls somewhere between PKR 3,000 to PKR 45,000 . While getting this treatment, you may find a variation in the cost because it depends on the number of sessions and the scope of the treated area.
The longevity of its results varies from person to person because the skin conditions and aftercare treatment determine the duration of the results. Furthermore, the number of sessions also matters in this context. Based on your specific number of sessions, you may find its results even after a few years.
Laser hair removal in Islamabad is a minimally invasive procedure. You may experience minor pain or discomfort, but these conditions do not last long.
Yes, laser hair removal is safe on the face. This is a versatile treatment that does not harm your body and can be applied to any part of the body.
It can be mildly bothersome, sometimes likened to a rubber band snap. Most find it bearable. Numbing creams may be used if necessary.
Laser hair removal provides a permanent reduction of hair, not complete removal of hair. Depending on the number of treatments done, a 90–95% reduction of hair is achieved..
This is an uncommon side effect where hair becomes thicker or appears in new locations after treatment, usually as a result of poor technique or improper laser settings.
Yes. Shave 24 hours before your visit. Do not wax or pluck, as the laser works on the hair root, which must be intact.
This is not new growth; it's the treated hairs being forced out of the follicles. It's a normal part of the shedding process and should be fixed within 1–2 weeks.
Average of 6 to 8 treatments. Results depend on skin type, hair type, and area being treated.
It provides long-term reduction, but not necessarily lifetime removal. Hair can grow back from hormonal fluctuations or genetics. Maintenance sessions will keep the area smooth.
Laser hair removal is safe and FDA-approved when done by professionals. Risks are small when proper procedures and machines are utilized.
It depends on your skin tone, hair color, and hair thickness. Diode works well on dark, thick hair. Alexandrite is often used on lighter skin and finer hair. Nd: YAG is gentler on darker skin. Your doctor picks one at your consultation.
Not as well. The laser looks for color in the hair. There is less color to trigger the laser in white/ gray/ blonde/ red hair. Black and brown hair color is best.
Yes. Shaving is okay, but it helps to keep the area neat. Waxing, plucking, or threading between sessions will not allow the laser to operate properly.
Avoid strong sunlight and tanning beds for approximately 6 weeks following each treatment (or as advised by your doctor). Apply sunscreen daily (at least SPF 30). Treatment increases the likelihood of dark or light skin color when exposed to the sun.
Laser can reduce the hair that is already there. But it does not treat the hormone problem behind it, so new hair may keep coming. If your hair grows heavily and rapidly, also have your doctor test you for a hormone problem.
Doctors usually advise waiting. Preconception is one of the conditions for a consultation with your doctor before treatment. Let us know when you are pregnant or if you think you may be pregnant.
It may help. Laser reduces the hair, and with less hair there is less chance of it curling back into the skin. Many people notice fewer bumps after a few sessions, but results vary.
No. Laser should not be used on tattooed skin. It should also not be used on the eyelids, eyebrows, or the skin around them, because of the risk of eye injury.
Laser is a medical treatment. The wrong setting can cause burns or patches, especially on brown or dark skin. Choose a trained professional and be careful with places where non-medical staff do the treatment.
You can start any time of year if you protect your skin from the sun. Many people begin in the cooler months because skin is less tanned and easier to keep covered.
